Boat registrations are usually kept in the boat. Pictures of your boat are at home. Who keeps track of boat trailer license numbers if you can’t find the registration?

With a combined 25 years of experience in law enforcement and the field of boating, I can tell you that the ability to rapidly provide complete identifying information to law enforcement is the single-most critical factor to recovering a stolen boat. Time is your enemy because your boat can be rapidly leaving the area stolen from while you’re fumbling through identifying details with the police.

NBR is being made available to law enforcement agencies to be directly accessed to get your craft’s information NOW! This is all information that law enforcement needs to first and foremost, issue a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) to local working patrol officers.
